Getting ready to meet your baby is one of the most exciting times of your life. My goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy and birth. I love working with expectant parents to help them navigate the antenatal and birth journey. Each pregnancy is unique, and my support will be tailored to your needs and circumstances. Here are the prenatal services I offer:
Birth Prep Course
Starting in your sixth month of pregnancy, this 14 week course is designed to help parents-to-be prepare for birth and beyond. Each informative and empowering session covers an essential perinatal topic, followed by a soothing yoga and relaxation practice, and then a cosy catch-up over tea and biscuits.
With a different theme every week, discussion topics include:
Transitioning from second to third trimester
Birth physiology and hormones
Relaxation techniques – including Hypnobirthing
Writing a birth plan/preferences*
How to get the most from your care providers*
Packing a hospital bag
Signs of labour
The role of a birth companion*
Birthing scenarios and what to expect (inc. birthing in a time of Covid)*
Pain relief options*
Birthing postures and positions*
The mighty placenta
Immediately after birth (inc. Golden Hour)*
Planning for breastfeeding or bottle feeding
Coming home and the postnatal period*
(*Birthing parents will attend all 14 sessions, and birth partners will attend the seven sessions above.)
Because community support is so important for new parents, you will be in a group with other families who live nearby in your postcode. Your due dates will all be within 4 weeks of each other, so you’ll all be experiencing roughly the same stages of pregnancy, birthing and early parenthood together.
Although you won't start your course until after 20 weeks, I recommend that you book your place as soon as you reach 12 weeks.
Sessions are two hours long and group sizes are min four / max 10 couples.
Intensive Birth Prep Workshop
We don't all want to learn in group settings, and we don't all want to stretch it out over several weeks. For the families who prefer a private one-off session, I offer a 5 hour intensive birth preparation workshop, covering all the same topics as the group classes
When it comes to growing and birthing babies, our bodies already know what to do. It's our job to do what we can to help nature do its thing. That means working with our bodies to soften and open, while building strength and stamina. With my pregnancy yoga classes, I aim to help birthing parents own their own births by tuning into their bodies, connecting with their babies and finding their inner strength and wisdom. Each session features a specially designed flow of asanas, breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation techniques. Suitable from 12 weeks onwards.

Prenatal Coffee Mornings
A weekly (online) social gathering for pregnant people to discuss, share, support, ask questions and be held in community energy. Every Saturday, 10.30am on Zoom. Get in touch to book your place
